I’ve become too busy for my spiritual story. It’s true that I’m busier than I’ve been in a long time. I feel the pressure of all the things on my giant list of things to do. I’m afraid that I won’t finish all of these things. Important things are getting squeezed out of my life and squeezed out of my spiritual autobiography. We need to make space for our story within our lives. Every day, I want to make sure that I stop to think about how God was woven into my story. I want to remember how my day was different because of His presence in the big and little things. I don’t want my story to become about lists and responsibilities that have become unconnected from God. I’m going to church today. I feel like I don’t have enough time to do this, but I’m going anyway. When our lives have been reduced to “doing” and are devoid of space for how God has moved, it is the most important time to seek God and find Him. This is when I need Him most. This is when we need Him most. We need to choose things that help us refocus our priorities so that God is part of each and every day.  That’s why I’m going to church today. Think of where you can go to let your spiritual memoir unfold. A spiritual journal can be a great place to reflect and refocus. Setting aside time to consider your story can help you reconnect with God. A simple walk through the woods can do the trick! How do you make time for your spiritual autobiography to unfold?
