A new year is the start of a new journey. We set goals, and we make plans. How can we create a better world for ourselves and others as we move forward on our journey? I believe art has the power to do this for ourselves and others. Creating has the power to encourage us and encourage others. During these especially hard times, I think we need creativity to speak louder than ever

I made these two small works with 2021 in mind. I played around with bright colors and fun images. I used whimsical words and shapes. I created to make something positive and, perhaps, to provide a distraction from the things that are pulling us down right now. Things are often quite serious these days. I have enjoyed a little journey to a happier place with my paintbrush and my canvas. I hope what I have created gives you a little lift and a little joy.
